China and UNESCO Renewed the Agreement on CRIHAP

The Government of the People’s Republic of China and UNESCO have recently signed the renewed agreement on CRIHAP, laying a solid foundation for the continued operation of this centre until 2033. Since its establishment, CRIHAP has delivered training to nearly 4,000 individuals from 44 countries and regions. Moving forward, CRIHAP will continue to inject new impetus into the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and the promotion of sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

The fourth meeting of the Bureau of the twentieth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (composed by France, Slovakia, Barbados, Ethiopia and Mauritania) took place on 23 October 2025.
The CRIHAP is an international institution in the field of the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) established in Beijing, China on 22nd February 2012.
