On 25 October 2023, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture of the Republic of Botswana, Mr Kagiso K. Kemoeng and UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Culture, Mr Ernesto Ottone R. signed the host country agreement between UNESCO and the Republic of Botswana for the organization of the eighteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
