ICHCAP carried out the renewal of ichLinks, an ICH information-sharing platform, for six months, from May to November 2022. The ichLinks platform is a one-stop online platform where you can easily meet a wide range of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) information shared by and with Asia-Pacific Member States.

As an initial programme offered by ‘Asia-Pacific Research Forum for ICH Safeguarding’, a new platform launched by IRCI in this fiscal year, the first online seminar was held on 13 December 2022.
IRCI visited Bangladesh and Cambodia (14–18 November 2022)

The IRCI mission composed of Mr W. Iwamoto, Director-General and Ms Y. Nojima, Head of Research Section visited Bangladesh and Cambodia during 14–18 November 2022, to understand the situation of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) safeguarding in these countries, while monitoring the progress of research activities under the IRCI projects.

UNESCO organized a two-day inception workshop from 22-23 November in Dar es Salaam in the United Republic of Tanzania to launch a new project on strengthening capacities at the national and local levels for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
