Workshop on ICH Safeguarding and Sustainable Development for Youth held online
During the workshop the trainees, divided into 15 groups, worked on 15 ICH safeguarding project plans, drawing from what they learned during the online lectures and discussions. Among the project plans are the Ikad weaving of Ban Samunn, the Hmong’s Boon Kin Jiang festival, pottery knowledge in Baan Chan Nuea, the boat racing of the Dong Koc Long community, and bamboo basketry tradition in Baan Don Kaew. Facilitators and local experts offered advice for each of their project plans, adding interactivity to the online training session.
From Oct 20 to Nov 5, trainees conducted field visits in their local communities, putting what they learned at the workshop into practice while upgrading their project plans under the guidance of local experts.
