The eighth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will be held at UNESCO Headquarters from 8 to 10 September 2020. All States Parties and participants attending are required to register online.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, participants will be required to respect physical distancing practices during the meeting in line with host country rules and UNESCO guidance. Details on these measures will be shared with all participants via e-mail in advance of the meeting. Please be aware that such measures will limit the number of participants who can enter the meeting room and, as a result, retransmission will be provided in another room. The debates will also be broadcast live on the Convention’s webpage.

All documents for the session will be published online by 7 August 2020 in the six working languages of the Assembly.
