Workshop on ICH Capacity-Building for Youth wraps up
An online workshop on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) capacity-building and digital technology for youth from Laos wrapped up on Oct 15. Co-organized by the UNESCO Bangkok Cluster Office and the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO, the event marks the completion of the second phase of CRIHAP’sThree-year Capacity-building Workshop on Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguardingfor the Youth of Laos.
Jing Feng, program specialist for culture for the UNESCO Bangkok Cluster Office, and Ge Yuqing, director of the Training Department of CRIHAP, participated in the closing session of the workshop via recorded video or livestream and delivered their speeches. UNESCO-accredited ICH facilitator Alexandra Denes, along with eight other international and local experts, attended the closing session of the workshop online or in local communities. Meanwhile, 30 young trainees took part in the closing session in local communities in Luang Prabang.
