Paper-cut applique on porcelain is a way of decorating porcelain with paper-cut patterns. This cross-process decoration method was originated from Jizhou Kiln of Song Dynasty. The craftsmen cut varieties of paper patterns to fit the shape of the ware, printed the ware pigment onto the special paper or membrane, affixed the patterns onto the ware, and burned it into unique paper-cut applique porcelain.
