During the group exercise session, the workshop participants followed such templates as the traditional Jaipong Dance from the Sunda Community and the traditional, musical performance of Indonesia, to learn how to prepare nomination paperwork, putting into practice the concepts and theories they just learned during the online classes.

This capacity-building workshop is the first of its kind for Indonesia at the National level on ICH nomination. The trainees all agree that the workshop offered them a precious chance to learn knowledge about ICH nomination in an intensive, highly efficient, and systematic manner. They believe they will benefit a lot for their future ICH safeguarding practice. They look to strengthening communication within communities, listening to voices from communities, and working together with local people for ICH safeguarding.

To date, CRIHAP has organized a total of 64 ICH capacity-building workshops covering 41 countries and regions, with 2,317 direct beneficiaries throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
