CRIHAP Learning Corner launches at the Ningbo Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum
On July 16, the CRIHAP Learning Corner was officially inaugurated at the Ningbo Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
To promote the concepts of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, share quality ICH learning resources from around the world, and expand the reach of capacity building for ICH safeguarding, CRIHAP launched its Chinese-English bilingual Online ICH Classroom platform in January 2025. Featuring learning materials from UNESCO and CRIHAP’s own resources, the platform delivers ICH safeguarding concepts and knowledge through multimedia and interactive tools. Later that year, CRIHAP initiated a pilot program to establish offline learning corners.
The Learning Corner inaugurated at the Ningbo Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum is a core part of the “Tuanbao Xuetang” (Tuanbao School), a dedicated study and research area of the museum. After more than six months of careful planning, the Learning Corner is now fully equipped with the necessary hardware, software, and operational systems. It opens to the public alongside the museum, making the Online ICH Classroom locally accessible.
Moving forward, CRIHAP will continue to enrich the content of its Online ICH Classroom, strengthen collaboration with the UNESCO Learning Platform, and empower the public through integrated online and offline channels. Working together with its partners in the Asia-Pacific region, CRIHAP will keep striving to bring the concepts and knowledge of ICH safeguarding to an even wider audience.
