The Training of Trainers Workshop on the 2003 Convention for China (Second session) (Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau) held in Foshan
During the fieldwork, the participants explored one of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Transmission Bases in Guangdong Province - The Ancestral Temple. They appreciated the National-Level ICH element - Lion Dance, and visited the production-based safeguarding demonstration base for national ICH, New Shiwan Meitao Art Ceramics Factory Co. Ltd., to observe Shiwan Pottery.
During the field visit at the Ancestral Temple and New Shiwan Meitao Art Ceramics Factory Co. Ltd., the facilitators carried out on-site teaching, and the participants had in-depth interactions and exchanges with the ICH bearers, understanding the transmission and safeguarding of ICH elements from multiple aspects.
In the group discussion session, participants, guided by the facilitators, discussed various issues in small groups, such as “Does the Transmission and Survival of Living Heritage Take Precedence Over Animal Rights?” and “Should the Living Heritage Elements from Foreign Ethnic Groups or Immigrants be Included in the Local or National Lists?”. Participants shared their views and thoughts by presenting cases, photos, videos, etc.
