The Tenth Session of the Advisory Committee of CRIHAP was held on November 26, 2024. More than 30 members of the Advisory Committee and specially invited representatives from the International Research Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (IRCI) and the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (ICHCAP), as well as relevant institutions in Indonesia and Cambodia, attended the meeting.

Committee Chairperson Zhang Min, Former Counsellor of the Permanent Delegation of China to UNESCO and UNESCO facilitator for Intangible Cultural Heritage, presided over the event. The Secretariat of CRIHAP reported on the work situation of CRIHAP in 2023 and 2024, as well as the work plan for 2025. The Advisory Committee gave a positive evaluation of the work of CRIHAP and focused on discussing and making suggestions on how CRIHAP can better cooperate with UNESCO in implementing the capacity-building strategy for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage in the Asia-Pacific region, how CRIHAP can further enhance its influence, and expand its cooperation network in the future. The next step for CRIHAP is to refine the work plan based on the recommendations of the advisory committee and ensure its implementation.

Members of the Advisory Committee attended the Release Ceremony of Selected Cases on ICH Safeguarding for Sustainable Development in the Asia-Pacific Region 2024 held on the morning of the 26th. They also visited Zhejiang Provincial Museum of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding in Gongshu District of Hangzhou on the 27th.

The Members of the Advisory Committee are composed of international intangible cultural heritage experts from relevant government departments, universities, and research institutions, who provide valuable advisory advice for the development of CRIHAP.
