The submission deadline is fast approaching for nominations to the Lists of the Convention, proposals for the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices and requests for international assistance combined with nominations to the Urgent Safeguarding List to be examined by the Intergovernmental Committee in 2025.

This year, as the 31 March deadline falls on a Sunday (and Monday 1 April is a public holiday in France), nominations must be submitted by the following working day which is Tuesday 2 April 2024 (17h00 GMT), using the forms for the 2025 cycle available online.

Nominations are to be submitted electronically (except for Form ICH-07 video and Form ICH-07 photo) to the following e-mail address ICH.nominations@unesco.org. In this regard, please consider using the UNESCO File Depot system or WeTransfer for the transfer of large files. A short message will be generated automatically to acknowledge receipt.

Hard copies of the nominations with original signatures may be sent by postal mail to the Secretariat (c/o Ms Josiane Poivre, Living Heritage Entity, Culture Sector, 7 place de Fontenoy, 75352 Paris 07 SP, France) in parallel and before or after the deadline.

In accordance with paragraphs 33 and 34 of the Operational Directives and the Committee’s Decision 17.COM 15, up to 60 files will be treated for examination by the twentieth session of the Intergovernmental Committee in November/December 2025.
