"This is a timely training event, very helpful to enable Mongolian youth to engage themselves deeper in ICH safeguarding", said Boldsaikhan Sambuu, secretary general of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, in a speech during the closing session of the workshop. "Next year marks the 20thanniversary of the adoption of the 2003 Convention. We hope to continue our cooperation with CRIHAP and expect young people to take an active part in it."
Duong Bich Hanh, program specialist for culture at the UNESCO Beijing Cluster Office, said the workshop has a comprehensive agenda and innovative ways to teach. She said she hopes young people will bring in creativity, figure out innovative measures for ICH safeguarding and play an active role in practicing the ICH.
