Project Report of “Research on ICH’s Contribution to SDGs: Education and Community Development” Published
The project report ‘“Research on ICH’s Contribution to SDGs: Education and Community Development” (FY2020–2021) is now available online.
This project investigated the relationship among intangible cultural heritage (ICH), education and community development and how ICH could contribute to SDGs 4 (Quality Education) and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in cooperation with three NGOs in the Asia-Pacific Region, namely, the Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) in Bangladesh, the Dewi Fortuna Community Learning Center (DFCLC) in Indonesia, and the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation (TFPF) in Kyrgyzstan.
The report, outcome of the two-year project of IRCI includes the project summary, the results of case studies in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Kyrgyzstan and two international symposia. It is hoped that this report contributes to understanding the potential of ICH to achieve SDGs while promoting the safeguarding of ICH.
