CRIHAP and the UNESCO Beijing Office will co-organize an online capacity-building training workshop on ICH safeguarding for China from Dec 20 to 21, 2021. Trainees are the heads of or representatives from China’s 31 provincial, regional and municipal intangible cultural heritage safeguarding centres. UNESCO ICH facilitator Suzanne Ogge is invited to deliver lectures.

Due to the pandemic, the training will take an online approach, focusing on the relation between ICH and sustainable development. Coupled with case studies, the training will tackle the interactions between ICH and inclusive social development, economic development, traditional knowledge and social practice, and creative industries.
