A Working Group Session for IRCI Study of Emergency Protection of ICH in Conflict-Affected Countries in Asia was held in Tokyo, Japan
IRCI has been implementing a project on Study of Emergency Protection of ICH in Conflict-Affected Countries in Asia under one of activity focuses since FY 2017. IRCI aims to examine ICH under conflict-affected situations in three countries, Afghanistan, Timor-Leste and Northern and Eastern Sri Lanka, and to specify risk factors that threaten the viability of ICH thereby contributing to the development of the possible measures for ICH revitalisation.
IRCI organised the Working Group Session from July 31st through August 3rd, 2019 at Kuroda Memorial Hall in the Tokyo National Museum and invited experts from Afghanistan. With the desk survey and the information collected, participants discussed the future direction for surveys.
