The seminar in the Kingdom of Tonga

The International Training Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom of Tonga held a seminar in Nuku'alofa, the capital of the kingdom, from Nov 11 to 15, 2014. The seminar included discussion on how to implement digital methods in the protection of the intangible cultural heritage, the way to collect the digital data and manage archives, solve related technical questions and organize photography practices and a training class. About 30 practitioners from Tonga’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Department attended the training. Two Chinese experts in the photography of intangible cultural relics and digital protection provided instruction in these fields.
