Seminar for ICH networking and information sharing in Northeast Asia held in Ulan Bator

The Seminar on Cooperation towards Strengthening Networking and Information Sharing of Intangible Cultural Heritage in North-East Asia was held from June 29-July 3 in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. The seminar was held by UNESCO Beijing Office and ICHCAP (International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO in South Korea), and undertaken by the Mongolian Ministry of Culture and Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO. Representatives from five countries in Northeast Asia (China, DPRK, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Mongolia), the UNESCO Beijing Office and ICHCAP attended the seminar.

Based on the current situation and existing problems of ICH documentation in Northeast Asia, the participants had discussions on how to strengthen ICH documentation and promote ICH networking and information sharing in an effective way.

Ding Yan, Director of the Center for Digitalized Safeguarding of ICH of China, attended the Seminar of the recommendation of CRIHAP.
