Training of Trainers Capacity Building Workshop on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage for Mongolia (Second Session)

The "Training of Trainers Capacity Building Workshop on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage for Mongolia (Second Session)" is set to be jointly organized by the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (referred to as "CRIHAP") and the National Center for Cultural Heritage of Mongolia. The training is scheduled to take place in the Tuv province of Mongolia from June 3 to 7, 2024, with substantial support anticipated from the UNESCO Regional Office in East Asia.

Expected to span 5 days, this workshop will feature UNESCO facilitators, including Ms. Saruul Arslan and Ms. Tsolmon Tserendorj, who will provide in-depth insights into the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Specific focus will be placed on themes related to Community-based Inventorying (CBI), supplemented by a diverse array of global case studies. Throughout the workshop, facilitators will emphasize crucial concepts such as the pivotal role of communities in CBI, as well as the principles and ethical considerations inherent in community engagement.
