Trainees from Champasak province of Laos give a presentation about their field investigation on ICH safeguarding.

The trainees thanked CRIHAP for providing a learning opportunity. They said that they have come to see a systemic study of the Convention lays a solid foundation for their ICH safeguarding practice in the future. They believe the knowledge and experiences they have gained during the online training session and field visits will allow them to play an active role in Laos’ ICH safeguarding projects, ensuring the nation’s ICH resources are well-kept and will be carried on from generation to generation.

To date, the CRIHAP has organized a total of 55 ICH capacity-building workshops, covering 41 countries and regions, with 1,896 direct beneficiaries from the Asia-Pacific region.
