IRCI's International Symposium was held for ICH's contribution to education

IRCI organised an International Symposium on “Multi-disciplinary study on intangible cultural heritage’s contribution to sustainable development: Focusing on education” on 21 and 22 January 2019 at Nara University of Education in cooperation with Nara University of Education.
In this symposium, participants from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME), Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES), UNESCO Bangkok Office, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan, Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties and Tokyo City University had an active discussion in order to organise the final guidelines to incorporate intangible cultural heritage into educational materials.
Above mentioned guidelines for educational materials will be available on our web site in March 2019.
This symposium was held as part of IRCI’s “Multi-disciplinary Study on ICH’s Contribution to Sustainable Development: Focusing on Education” project implemented with MEXT’s financial assistance of “ODA for supporting UNESCO’s activities”.
