CRIHAP holds training of trainers on inventorying intangible cultural heritage in Thailand

During the workshop, Mr. Liang Bin, Director-General of CRIHAP, had in-depth communication with four observers, as well as representatives from Thailand’s Ministry of Culture and UNESCO Office in Bangkok, on the framework and mechanism of future cooperation.

As a UNESCO category 2 center in the field of intangible cultural heritage in the Asia-Pacific region, CRIHAP is deeply involved in the implementation of UNESCO's global capacity-building strategy of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. It has been actively promoting and popularizing the 2003 Convention, and has remained committed to providing capacity building training services for the 48 member states in the Asia-Pacific region in the field of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding.

Since its establishment in 2012, CRIHAP has organized 31 intangible cultural heritage capacity-building workshops, benefiting 32 countries and regions, directly benefiting 1,011 trainees.
