Fourth meeting of Advisory Committee of CRIHAP held in Beijing

The fourth meeting of the Advisory Committee of the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific region under the auspices of UNESCO (CRIHAP) was held in Beijing on Feb 22, 2017.
Ambassador Wang Xuexian chaired the meeting and members of the Advisory Committee of CRIHAP were present.
The meeting introduced CRIHAP’s new Director General and an extra new member of the Advisory Committee of CRIHAP. CRIHAP’s achievements in 2016 and work plan for 2017 were also discussed at the meeting. The attendees further proposed many suggestions about how to work more efficiently with UNESCO on the implementation of Capacity Building Strategy of Capacity Building Strategy of ICH safeguarding, how to promote CRIHAP’s influence and expand cooperation.
Afterwards, attendees had a cultural investigation at the National Museum of China.
The Advisory Committee of CRIHAP was established to promote CRIHAP’s development and improve the organization’s work, with members consisting of national and international experts and scholars on ICH. The committee gives CRIHAP advice via meetings and other forms.
