With the spirit of the Convention in mind, this workshop focused on community-based inventorying, with a total of 25 participants comprising government officials, cultural officers, academics and ICH practitioners. Utilizing newly developed training modules on ICH Community-based Inventorying, UNESCO accredited facilitators gave theoretical sessions and presented a step-by-step guide for developing an inventorying framework. This workshop was being organized within the context of UNESCO’s global capacity-building strategy for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage.
