This activity is a part of "the Promotion of Fujian Puppetry in the Asia-Pacific Region", a project funded by China National Arts Fund. Australia is the last stop of this project aside from the similar cultural exchange activities in Cambodia, Indonesia and Fujian in the first half of this year. The activity aimed to promote the experience of UNESCO's Best Safeguarding Practices, to enhance communication and cooperation on ICH safeguarding between China and Australia, and to introduce representative Chinese traditional culture to the world.
