Networking on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Beijing

A meeting to exchange experiences of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage was held at the National Museum of China on Nov 7, 2014. Sponsored by the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (CRIHAP), the meeting was attended by China’s Vice Minister of Culture Ding Wei, President of the Chinese National Academy of Arts Wang Wenzhang, Director of the National Museum of China Lv Zhangshen, Deputy Director-General of UNESCO Getachew Engida, Assistant Director-General for Culture of UNESCO Alfredo Pérez de Armiñán, officials and experts from related departments and organizations, and permanent delegate to UNESCO of 8 countries.

The meeting began with a speech to welcome the guests from Wang Wenzhang, and was hosted by Xu Rong, director of the CRIHAP.
