31 March 2021 marks the deadline for submitting nominations to the Lists of the 2003 Convention, proposals to the Register for Good Safeguarding Practices and Requests for International Assistance for examination by the seventeenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee in November/December 2022. In line with the latest Committee’s decision, the Secretariat will process at least 55 files for examination under the 2022 cycle.

Nominations, including all required supporting documents, video and photos, should be submitted by 6 p.m. (Paris time) on 31 March 2021 using the forms for the 2022 cycle available online.

Given the ongoing sanitary situation in Paris, the Secretariat will not be able to receive the nominations in hard copy. Therefore, kindly submit nominations in electronic form to the dedicated email address. In this regard, please consider using the UNESCO File Depot system for transferring large files. A short message will be generated automatically to acknowledge receipt. The Secretariat will make provisions to receive hard copies of the nomination files submitted by email at a later date, when the sanitary situation allows.

In parallel, the Secretariat will perform the usual technical completeness check to identify any missing information by 30 June 2021 in accordance with paragraph 54 of the Operational Directives of the Convention. If necessary, the submitting States concerned will be able to revise the nomination form(s) before the deadline of 30 September 2021.

In case of technical problems, kindly contact us by writing to the dedicated email address.
